330ci or S4

What would you get, 2001 330Ci, or 2001 S4, btw could you get 330CI up to 400hp, and if so how much would it be?

Maybe because I'm just sick of mine. hmmmm. I'm actually waiting to trade e46 for the upcoming new Audi S4. if it takes too long I may just go for the RS6. Just my opinion

Depends... if you mainly want a car for tuning.. then get the s4... if not.. get the 330ci.


Personaly i wouldnt get a 2001 S4 since it will be lookin outdated real fast.

i loooooooooooove my bimmer... BUT!!! the only thing that the 330 really has over the S4 is that it's a bimmer , that goes a long way, but not far enough... if i could go back in time to ohhh about a year and a half ago, i prob would've gone with the S4... i havent driven one, but they take a hefty dump on me in the performance dept...

I love the S4, but it is in time for a new bodystyle.. and the 330ci is just BEAUTIFUL inside and out... but if you want one for performance definately go for the S4.. they are Quattro and hella fast...

400hp you say? DEFINITELY the S4! Transplanting an M5 engine into your 330ci would give you the 400hp you are looking for, and that would definitely cost more than the S4! Most people say the car will look outdated soon, but I think that the current production S4 is better looking than the newer one. The newer one looks all bubbly!

S4, don't listen to them, the style isn't outdated. Just get the Oettenger body kit or perhaps do an RS4 bumper conversion.

I'm not a big fan of the new A4 (B6?) but I'm even less of a fan of the facelifted Bimmers (although the 330ci is still a coupe ).

If you want to mod your engine, I'd go S4, hands down, wouldn't think twice. If I didn't want a cabrio so bad, I would've ended up with and S4. You have to mod them properly to avoid any reliability issues, and there's a few things you have to change right away.

Difference is: You can mod the S4 to beat an E46 M3...you can't do that with the 330ci (unless maybe an s/c perhaps?).

S4, hands down.

VAG turbo engines are a modders dream. Right next to the 2JZ.

If speed is what you want. . .the S4 is easily (and cheaply) modded to over 330 HP with a chip. With this simple mod, you are alot closer to running with an M3 (for alot cheaper) than any 330ci would ever be able to do for under $3,000 in mods.

The 330ci is much more of a drivers car, IMHO, because it handles alot better, is RWD so you can throw that tail out, and is more tossable (since its lighter).

They're both great cars, though, and you'll be happy with either one!

I'd go with the S4 the new body style is ugly the old way looks way better, you can get it really fast, has a nice interior.
The 330ci is nice if you want a beatiful looking car that wouldn't be quite as fast but its a Bimmer

true, the only time i shoulda gotten one is when i feel slow. specially with a step
