If possible, would you mind keeping us updated as to the progress with this unit? I have tried to do some research on the ASA charger and G-Power and even GSM Motoren for that matter and I have not come up with much. There is a guy on here, Mertsdan or something to that effect is his screen name and he says that he has had many problems. I really prefer not to play guinea pig with my money/car so I still lean towards the Vortech units, but I am still interested in new technology. Who is doing the install for you? Chisau

I will post my results and a review as soon as possible including pics and before and after dyno's. The guy you mentioned has had problems with the ASA kit?? I have spoken to the ceo of ASA in germany many times and he assures me this kit will be flawless. Please let me know what kit he was using. Alan

This is from a previous thread. Obviously this is only one persons opinion. Do you know of anyone else who may have installed this unit? Best of luck and keep us informed. mertdastan Shopping Cart Racer Member:#1836 Registered: Dec 2001 Location: Turkey I drive a: BMW,M3,1998 My Photo Gallery Hi, I have a European E36 M3. I STRONGLY WARN YOU ABOUT ASA AND G-POWER. I bought 4 superchargers within the last 2 years because the ASA blowers leak oil into the engine and caused severe detonation. I melted my pistons 2 times because the blower gets so damaged that it leaks at least 300 cc of oil into the engine at once and that isall for a melted piston. Unfortunately their blowers last only 1000 miles and then the oil leakage starts slightly and increases as mleage increases. I spent till now 25,000 USD for the ASA G-Power companies. I went to Germany to visit them and they are really not good. keep away. I ordered a VORTECH T Trým. If you do not want to get sad, stay away from ASA. MERT Euro 3,2 550 hp with Vortech blower.

I sent you a PM with this but I will post it for all to see. I spoke with the President of ASA in germany and this was his email reply: Hello Mr. Melnick, I now this special custumer. Her tried to "improve" the horsepower of his M3 from 400 HP with our EVO I Kit up to over 700 HP (including NOS)! He didn't want to pay us, and so he did all of his own, but we always warned him, and told him to do this at his own risk. He let the supercharger run with over 50% more rpm`s. After he damaged our SC, he wanted parts to repair the SC on his own. I deneid this because special tools, especially for ballancing are necessary, and then he went angry and told me that if I dont sell it, he will damage our image on the internet. We built over 80 M3`s, 20 of them with over 500 HP, with nearly no problems. We even built a pacecar for BMW, and they are very satisfied. If somebody changes our system, he must be aware that this can be very riskfull, and it is not our fault if somethimg breaks after this modifications. By the way, last week he phoned me, and ask me to repair our sc

I always forget to check my pm's! Anyhow, like I said, that is only one persons opinion. Personally I will wait until I hear some positive responses before I take the plunge. I have been on the fence with going with what works. I went on G-Powers website and the have a pretty good explanation about the ASA unit and its build quality. I loike the idea of the ability to have the clutch disengage and the efficiency that the unit produces. It would be great if you could share some info. before and after the install. Pm me if you would like. I'll check it this time! Chisau

| GSM is awesome, they retrofit my mechtech kit and got it to work like an AA kit. Which if you have read any posts about mechtech youll know mechtech cant even install their kit right. If you buy a used mechtech kit like i did dont take it to mechtech go to GSM.

I will keep you updated. I like the gsm setup but the only thing I want to avoid is air flow restrictions. My brother has an AWD Talon that is around 11 flat quarter mile and when he switched from the greddy FMIC to the extreme FMIC it was like cutting the chain on a race dog and letting him go. I will probably use theirs. I have a print out of the dyno with the dinan setup(not much different from stock). And hopefully will get it done again this or next weekend. Then again after the FMIC install. I'll post them all if anyone is interested.
