Its 170hp stock year 2000, honestly how much would it cost to make this thing over 250hp, or is it just a outragous # to think about...

And does this car have a pretty strong 170hp, what i mean is does it have a strong start i dont expect it to last after 2nd gear but you know what i mean...

A supercharger would get you to that 250hp range. Supercharger is like $6000. Install is like $2000

You will be pretty surprised with the 323. It has a good engine.

Geez... forget dropping $8,000 on a supercharger. Just trade it up to a year newer 330Ci. That's 225hp and a better base for your mods. More power, normally aspirated, and you don't have to add any weight to the car and alter that 50:50 balance to get 200+ hp!

yeah i have a 323Ci and its a nice ride
and unfortunately it does die after second.....pulls very strong in first and second but get into 3rd and it kinda dies....i think they must have geared 1st and 2nd really short??

I was dragging my mate in his Merc S600 and no worries up to say 100km/h where i was a couple of car lengths ahead....but then change into 3rd and all i could do was watch as the Merc V12 stormed past

Don't know what kind of 323 you have, but they don't get going until 3rd gear. If you think 1 and 2 are the strong gears, maybe your shifts are screwy. Mine start to pull away in 3 and 4, not 1 and 2, which are too short to begin with. My Honda is even until 3rd.
