Question Prices of used E46 3 series

I am looking to buy an E36 M3, and just saw a REAL nice looking E46 3ser coupe. I am wondering what a '99,'00,'01 would go for. Im looking at really any model as long as its 2dr. Thanks

What's your price range? 323Ci, 328Ci, 325Ci, or 33Ci? They are generally at least $28,000+, in the $30-42K range still if you're talking about 328Ci or 330Ci.

On a related note, the saloons are generally much cheaper.

How many miles? Most of the ones I've seen have alot of miles already. 2000 model with 40K+ miles!

If i had that kinda money. But the M3, such an awesome car. I would rather have a 95 M3 than a brand new E46

Can't argue that! Though I must admit, I favor the E46 styling.

I mean from the non ///M cars, 330 is the only way to go. Otherwise E36 M3!!!

I'll say...That new 330 is FAST. A 5 speed 4 door beat me off the line . But I don't really care, I'm gonna have an M3 soon(I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT )

If you favour the new styling, than why would you want to old m3, isn't the new m3 better in all aspects, ie: speed, and handling?

Umm... What are you talking about? The old E36 M3 is cheaper than the new E46 M3. This thread was about whether CalypsoBimmer should get a used E36 M3 or a used E46 3er. I said he should get the E36 M3 over the E46 330Ci, even though I like the E46 styling more than the E36. The E46 M3 may be better than the E36, but were talking about price here, and I don't think CalypsoBimmer can afford the E46.

You are very correct. 50K is well out of my price range
