Many others have given their reviews on the H&R coilovers for the E46 so I will make mine short and to the point.
As evidenced by the pictures posted the other day, it most certainly supplies the drop that I desired. In fact, sometimes I think it's a bit too low and wonder if I would need to adjust the ride height when I eventually get new wheels.
The ride quality is something everyone is concerned about. However, I truly feel that the comfort levels are personal preference. I like the feeling of being attached to the road. I like feeling the nuances in road height and little expansion joints. But it's not a harsh type of feeling. Not by any means. It more or less flows over the road at a more connected feeling.
And what all of you want to really know about the coilovers - how is the handling? It is akin to being on roller coaster rails. The car goes where you want it to without the slightest complaint from the suspension. Feel like making a tight left at speed? No problem. It BEGS you to do it! Want to carve through some chicanes without letting go of the throttle? Go right ahead. It will take it without so much as a little hiccup and negligible roll.
I'm sure this is attributed to the fact my settings are at their lowest right now. The car is basically just hovering over the ground and handles as such.
Always make your suspension faster then the engine.
