Who Has a 2002 325ci-->Can you tell me if you have a rattle in the morning when first started/cold/ lasts for 5-10 min?> rattle is from the engine,front left buy your alt,pulley///...

i have the same thing and my car is a 2002 325i it rattles 5-10 minuts to i was thinking of taking it in for the dealer to look at.

yah i had the same experience, yesterday, i have a 2001 325Ci and the car wouldnt start 3 times in a row, finally when it did it made a rattle sound, im guessing though my car was just cold, hadnt run it in a day and the temp is low over here. peace

Thanks, The dealer has replaced the tensioner pulley twicw now..,,but the rattle comes back after 3 hundred miles,..every time,, i will see what happens after 10k miles i am only at 2k now,,,

any one have the evo pulleys?

I have a 2001 325i and it does that noise too..I have no idea...probably the water pump but I have heard it on other bmw's and as i can see other people are complaining about it so I guess its normal..just a bit scary.

When I turn it on at school when its cold and people hear it they ask what it is and im like "ohh its the super charger man what u talking about i hear no unusal noise" and i laugh and walk away LOL. oh well

I noticed that rattling sound also. I was at las vegas at that time at 1100miles. I was thinking maybe i traveled a little bit far that causes that noise...actually it goes away after 5-10 mins...i have a 2002 325i...i'm planning to bring it to the dealer to be checked...maybe the same problem the tensioner.. thanks anyway for bringing it up.
