| HEY PEOPLE! IM KINDA OF SHITTING IT RIGHT NOW WITH THE SUB FRAME! I KNOW YOUR SUPPOSE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER SHIP LIKE THE POST ON DTM SAID...BUT I GOT MY BMW E46 SEDAN AT A USED SMALL INPENDENT DEALER SHIP! SO WOULD THEY STILL COVER THE COST OF THE DAMAGE??? ![]() |

| Your post is very unclear. What is your problem/symptom? I take it that whatever the problem is, you are certain that it was bad when you bought it? Since it will be hard to sell the idea that a subframe problem is a safety hazard, the lot that sold you the car is probably not responsible for fixing it if they sold the car with no warrantee. |

| What you should do is have an independent mechanic see if your sub-frame has an issue. If it does the next step would be to take it to a BMW dealer, and see if they will fix it for you.

| As per BMW. The cost of the subframe/unibody inspection does not cost you anything. Although when you do bring it to a DEALER you should not have any aftermarket suspention parts or aftermarket wheels installed. They will document this and will not fix the unibody cracks under warr. As for the fix to the cracks, BMW will cover the cost to fix provided the previose conditions are met. |
