High-beam wiring and xenon bulbs. Hey guys, just have a couple questions and hoped you all could enlighten me. I have a 2002 330i with stock xenon projector headlights for high and low beams (it simply adjusts the projection up some for high beam). Being an e46, if I pull back on the left hand stick on the steering column (push for high beams to stay on) it simply blips them until I let go. But when I use that momentary flash, it uses the innermost lamps (not xenon, but halogen) while it uses the projectors when I push the stick forward. I was wondering if I could rewire the lights to have the halogens run continuously as well as have the projectors adjust upwards when I push the stick forwards.
I'm also thinking about putting xenon bulbs in the halogen position too, would 4500k xenon bulbs be the same as what is already in the projectors/main headlamps? I would also like to put the same intensity and color xenon bulbs in my fog lamps and wondering where one could find those as well (of course they need to be DOT compatible too so I can actually use them around town). I'm yet to take the assemblies apart to see what the bulbs look like for when I buy new ones, but I just thought I'd ask here first.
Thanks a lot!
