With magnetic sensors like that, remember that the signal is very weak. The problem is most often the plug or the shielding on the lead, rather than the sensor itself. Examine the lead for evidence of chaffing, and make sure that the plug is clean and tight. I was reading the other day where someone just cut the plug out of the wire to his crank position sensor and soldered the wires together because the plug kept giving trouble.

The guy I bought the car from says that the car shoved him this error on the control board. Our friend mehanic erased that error whit his computer. The car itself is working normaly. The car did 500 miles after that and didn show any error on the control board. But, whit a diagnostic computer he can still see the same error. I am affraid that if I disable the sensor, and not buy a new one to replace it, car might stop working or cause some other problems. So thanks, I will check the cables and clean the sensor as a first thing to do. Would like very much to make this car reliable as I can.

I don't think I was very clear. When I said that he soldered the wires together, I did not mean that he eliminated the sensor - he just eliminated the plastic connector plug in the wire because it was giving him trouble. If he ever replaces the sensor, he will have to cut the wire and solder in the new one.
