| cold air intake Hey guys I just got a new AEM cold air intake for xmas. It didnt come yet but i just want to see if anyone has installed one of these or any cold air in general. Any idea how long it takes? how difficult it is to do? Any specific steps i should follow? I am pretty experienced in automotive maintenance however i have always worked on American cars. This is my first BMW and I would really appreciate any suggestions from anyone who has done this before. Thank you |

| sorry for the large shot but i thought it would help to see it. this is my car with a simota intake. it's really easy to put on, it should not take you more than 30 minutes. first you have to take off the stock intake box. then you attach the new intake to the intake tube that leads into the engine. the new intake will be attached to the intake tube by the blue piping that you can see in the picture above. 2 ring clamps will secure it. then there's a silver metal brace that you can also see that hooks to the strut wall. -I know it's not AEM but i thought it would help- Good Luck!

| 1. Short Ram intake should take about 15 minutes to do. 2. A Cold Air intake that goes behind the bumper will take a Novice 1 hr to do.
