| Spark Plugs hey guys, my 328 has about 90K and i think its time for me to change my spark plugs (i think one isn't working, when i start my car it trembles a little bit until it warms up) anyways i was wondering what are the best plugs to get, perhaps to gain a horse or two. any suggestions? |

| I have three 3-series BMWs, and all of them tend to occasionally run rough when first started. One does it most of the time and the other two do it only occasionally. The problem is not related to plugs because all these cars have had their plugs replaced, which had no affect in the rough running on startup. If you figure out what the problem is, let us know. As for plugs, use the specified replacement plug, NGK is what BMW uses, Denso is also good, and Bosch should be OK. |

| Sorry to say, but fuck denso if you are running any sort of power. Experience has found them to blow up the insulator(ceramic) into little pieces under moderate boost(skyline) NGK or Bosch all the way!

| Was that a single negative experience with Denso or an observed pattern? I have no experience with boosted cars, but I have used a lot of Denso plugs through the years and have always had good experience with them. I just read a long thread on Bosch plugs on a Volvo forum, and what they have discovered is that Bosch plugs are made in a lot of different countries, so they are starting to look at the country of origin on the box. So far no complaints on Bosch plugs made in Japan, USA, or Malaysia, but reports of problems with Bosch plugs made in India and Brazil. On an off-topic remark, one guy mentioned that his supplier stopped carrying Bosch ignition parts from the Spain plant because of too many new defectives, and now carries Huco (Germany) ignition parts. |
