I have a dream, to have my 2000 323i wearing a (new to me) set of e46 M3 13" disks installed with calipers.
I have found a plethora of data, but raw data will not answer a few questions, like who makes a set of caliper extensions like the ones used by BMW on the 345mm rotors in the CSL version of the M3.
Is this the answer or should we just all buy M3 spindles etc etc. I for one am not game for the buy it all from BMW and hope for the best. You end up with an expensive tinker toy set that is costly to maintain.
Someone has to have done this successfully as the cost of limited production rebuilt calipers for the m3 are less than half the price of the replacement 323i calipers made in much larger numbers.
The extensions or adapters or brackets would look like the following pic's, except for the addition of say 13mm additional stretch from the stock 323-330 spindle to the larger rotor radius.
Anyone interested?
