| Awesome idea! Ever been done? I had a cool idea, not that I can afford to do it.  But it gets the forum moving, and maybe I will get to see if it has been done!Wouldnt it be awesome if someone took a E46, and put in the M5 V8? (cant think of the engine code at this moment, I wanna say S38, but isnt that the 6er?) Anyhow, has it ever been done? Someone should do it! What do you guys think?

| Maybe when I get all done with college and all that good stuff, I will attempt it. It would be great to find a E46 with no motor, and go from there.

| I would personally like to see the new E92 m3 engine put into the e46 or e36 m3. They say the new m3's v8 weighs less than the e46's 6'er...

| I have heard that as well. It pretty much was described to me as the M5s V10 with the back 2 cylinders hacked off. I have heard the spark plugs also SOMEHOW double as knock sensors. Just amazing!!!!
