330ci with m3 fenders, just bought

Haliluia! I almost ended up in a VW, a crossfire, or an x-type jag(fugly steering wheel).

Thankfully was able to walk away from each. Could not walk from a 330ci with gruppe M wheels and front fenders. The seats are red. and....IT IS STICK!!! I am so pleased! 78k on the clock, paid USd 12k. Tires are almost shot on the rear; Tirerack says the 255/40-17 will fit. I am just a workin stiff and will not pay insane marketing hype prices for rubber, anyone here with any positive experience with Nankang tires?

I have an 88 325ix with 245k, rack leak, manifold leak, but otherwise all there with stick (naturally) and red recaros and 2 front end deer hits (go PA!) fixed but tatty. O yeah good Ziex rubber from korea or some ex-3rd world place(burns well enough). CHEAP !!!!

HELP!!! Before I go just nuts with this perhaps boring to some post, I need to understand:
1) Are hood and fenders from M3 found regularly on 330ci
2) I changed the oil promptly, reset the sevice (15500 showing) and 3 days later the yellow service eng light popped on. Can I make this go away? Is there repair instruction which is priced reasonably. Or have I made new friends here who know all the stuff I need to know?

Can't help with the hood and fenders question. I didn't know there was a difference.

I bought my wife an '04 330i with sport suspension and 17" M-style wheels. We pulled the Continentals and put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. Not cheap tires, but FAR FAR better than the original Continentals. Quiet, smooth, and glued to the road. Wearing well. so far. Keep in mind, however, that this car is driven to work by a 56 year old high school teacher. Your needs may vary.

With regard to the light - "Service Engine" light? You mean Check Engine? Peake tools coverage on e46s is pretty sketchy at the moment. All I can do is reset the oil light with my new Peake tool.

maybe the paperclip trick on the inspection port under the hood works on e46?
try that with a little google action...I think it was pin 14 on e36...but by all means dont quote me...im dizzy with hydrocodone at the moment

The service engine light went out by its own fat self.

Michelin Pilots are way too much Money for me. I would rather pick up the AC Schnitzer carbon fiber M3 lip listed in the classifieds, hope he still has it. This car will then start to look "sick" if I put that on with the M3 hood and fenders.
