brake duct?

my car is '05 325i sedan.

i wanted to get this: BMW M Technic Body Kit - For cars without PDC.

my question is: Do i need this? Brake Duct Kit - for Genuine BMW M-technic Front Spoiler

how would i know if my has a duct? or if its working?

Only someone who has put on that kit could tell you for sure, but I am going to guess that you do need it. If your brake ducts on the 235 look like the ones on my 330, they don't appear to come from the same spot in the stock air dam as the ones on the M Technic air dam. It looks to me from the picture that you will need different ductwork to match up your ducts to the holes in the new air dam.

Get down and look through the lower opening in your air dam at the far outboard ends of the opening. You should see an opening that goes back and shoots air just inside the front wheel to cool the brake.

Your brakes will still work without those air ducts, but I would not go racing without them, and not having them flowing air would probably void the warrantee on your brakes.

the stock brake duct is different than the m tech brake duct....

I'm actually getting them right now for my conversion....

I would suggest getting the entire kit from Tischer BMW.... check out their line on Mileoneparts.com
