| i have a question many of u are gonna prob think it was stupid of me to ask but its not concerning my own car....My friend went away on vacation & left his 2000 3 series with his niece , theres a green symbol on the right side of the dash that looks like a speedometer & is stayin on now , can anyone please tell me what that is cuz the chick is freaking out ! ![]() |

| Sounds like the indicator that tells you that the cruise control is turned on. On older e36 3-series cars, the cruise control was always 'on'. The newer ones let you turn it off, so that you don't set it accidentally by bumping the switch. They put an indicator light on the dash so you can tell if it is off or on. |
