SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME

OK, when i first crank my car up it's fine, but then about 30-45 min later it starts to have a hiccup, stutter/jerk/stalling type sh* with the engine but it does not do it after 3200-3500 rmp,but even at that is has no f*ing power at all i mean {I USED BAD WORDS}(it sucks)...I took it to the shop the 1st time and they said it was the coil pack and the plugs....still shit kept on and the "EML" light came on.... took it back the 2nd time and they hooked it up to the computer and everything checked out fine but when i got it back the light was still on and the shit STILL kept on... i think maybe a sensor or eletrical problem but the computer should have got that right??? i don't know. BTW it's a 2000 323i (2.3) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know it's 323 and it's not like the fastest car in the world----but
DAMN...... I WANT MY BABY BACK..F*

hey man,

you may not be aware, but your car is an E46, not an E36.. so wrong forum.

i can try to help you.. but please, please watch the language.

i know it sucks.. but lets limit it to that.

If the CEL is on, then it can not "check out" there will be a code. autozone can read codes for free if you don;t have a code reader.

If i understand correctly, its a warm engine problem only.. it def has all of the signs of an electrical problem.

There are multiple coil packs.. 1 per cylinder. did anyone any pull the plugs to see if one looks different, indicating a missfire?

would try to pull plug wires one by one while the engine is still running. When the engine stumbles, that plug is okay and put it back, repeat until you pull one wire that does not affect the engine. That's the problem......probably need to replace the plug wire set, does not sound like a vacuum leak at all. Good Luck.......

Modern BMWs do not have spark plug wires.

Get the code pulled, as it will tell you exactly what is wrong. No need to guess.

also your engine is actually a 2.5L I6 not a 2.3. I would also take it to a reputale indy bmw shop and save yourself a lot of cheddar, in fact since i'm such an upstanding citizen i'll let you go ahead and paypal me 1/2 of what you saved.

??????

If one coil pack is bad should all coil packs be replaced and all the plugs.Or just that coil pack and plug or just that coil pack and all plugs??

I think the "shop" is trying to "PHUCKME".

Luigi3 it sounds like a MAF issue it. When you start the engine try disconnecting the wire to the MAF and see if it runs smoother. If it does it's probably MAF going bad.
