| I think H&R springs are another nice alternative. They have two different lowering heights to choose from, the sport drop and race drop.
I would also highly recommend matching the springs with Bilstein sports, or Koni’s. Both would accommodate the shorter/stiffer springs with greater ease and maximize the benefits of aftermarket springs. I had Bilstein sports and H&R race drops on my 330 and enjoyed the improvement. On my M3 I went with coilovers, but I think a spring and shock combo will still work beautifully.
I know you asked about springs only, but I think it is still worth mentioning because the life of the stock shock is significantly reduced using a shorter/stiffer spring on them. The shocks are removed for spring install anyway, so it would be more cost effective to install everything at one time and have much more headache free driving in front of you.
