rpm accelerated at 2k

having a problem with my 330ci after having the head gasket replaced cause of overheating problems...but now when im driving and i let off the gas my rpms stay at 2,000 until i come to a complete stop and you can hear that the car is too accelerated when your off the gas...could it be that they didn't set my timing right when they put everything back together?
