| Common thing here, one guy replaced his motor 3 times. An the guys are not over reving them, that whats so strange. Dont know if the whether or other factors in our country that is causing it, guys stopped buying e46 and prices dropped low from R500000 for a new one to one's that 2 years old half the price....

| not typical for a BMW engine to fail without abuse? I just blew the engine in my E30 (215,000mi) my other E30 has 320,000mi (2nd engine) and my E36 has 169,000 (2nd engine. by choice not need)

This guy had other beemer before e36, then e46(330i, 330 cab) then a M3. An compared to all the others the M gave him engine problems. Know he drives it hard as in revving it to and before redline, an never spins or donuts the car. Thought it might just be him, but when i checked around a few guys were complaining. Seems he got tyed of the M, now he drives a F355 spyder. Seems to going fine, will see as time goes on.... Also a common thing is e36 m3 (2/4doors) having bearing knocks....are well that another story.
