Any e46 328Ci owners or fans?

Ive found a 2000 328Ci and was wondering if -reliability wise-it would be better to get a 2001 325Ci instead with less miles

Both are close in price and have about the same miles but I like the added displacement in case I mod it

Though I like having quick cars, I would rather have a more reliable car and was just wondering since this was the new model year if there were more probs

If the 328CI cost about the same with about the same miles as the 325CI then go for the 328CI.

If the 325CI has less miles than the 328CI with almost the same price then go for the 325CI.

If still confused then go out and get a brand new 330 and you won't have a problem with reliabilty issues and plus the performance is good. Only downside is that you'll spend a lot more money. But by spending alot more more you get piece of mind.

i have a $20k price limit and actuall i made a mistake the 01 325Ci is actually like 36k miles were the 00 328Ci is at 55k miles both at $19k and the 325 is at a lexus dealer and the 328 at a mercedez dealer

thanks I just read the other forum about this and I more than likely wont run a turbo or supercharger on this one... but will definately do exhaust/intake, chip, and a few other things... the only reason i really dont feel like doing this is i just got out of a 68 mustang w/ flowmasters /hedman headers/k&N intake w/ an edelbrock carb and staggered wheels (too staggered)... all show no go ... every time i took it out( even to get groceries) it would have yet another prob.... mostly because of age, but the idiot that put the staggered tires on the car left the non-power drum brakes all around...wow sorry to rant

Intake,exhaust and chip is a good start for modding. Good luck and keep us posted with mod upgrades!

Id would normally say go with the 328..more power, my bros has got one nicely done and it hangs if not walks 330's/m3's...But, the 19k mile difference is huge. 325...
