Can't get through your website... too much data?
I am assuming that the vents on the hood is on both sedan and coupe versions? Are there any meshes or any material covering them? Also does that mean my engine bay is going to be soaking wet in the rain because of the vents?

cheers.

I may be wrong but isn't carbon fiber stronger then fiberglass?

Both hoods for the E36 have them. The vents are functional, I'll try to find out how they work (mesh, and drainage issues).

Yes it is stronger, by square inch, but the CF is thin and the fiberglass is thicker as reinforcement.

New Pictures

I'm attaching a picture of the E46 hood, it doesn't have vents, but is the same price and construction as the E36 hood.

I'll also attach a picture of the underside of the E36 hood to give you an idea of what I'm talking about, and how strong these hoods are compared to others out there.

ive seen

some aftermarket e36 hoods and they never look like theyre a perfect fit at all, the center always contains a large gap...are there any pics installed on cars??? where are you located?? what sucks is that theyre not THAT light compared to other CF hoods, 25lbs is like 2x around 12 lbs for others...

I am located in Fresno, but the hoods are in a warehouse near Dallas, TX. That's why I have been having a hard time finding any more info out about the hoods. I don't have any pictures of the hood installed yet, but I hope to have some soon. The hood isn't as light as other hoods, but it is stronger than most of the others (less likely to buffet in the wind at 100mph!), and it is half the weight of the stock hood and it looks great! I'm trying to find out more about the vents, I'll be back!

I am very interested if the price is around $450. My friend just picked up a hood for his 2001 Celica for around $300.
