| Oil Changes I have a 2003 325i I bought with 30k on. The first oil change was done at 14,900 miles and then when i bought it, i changed the oil at 29,800. should i stay on the 15k oil change interval? is this bad for the motor in the long run? i use castrol syntec 5W-40.

| I do a 3K-5K mile interval depending on how I drive. Personally, I'd rather shell out a few more bucks earlier, than to run into problems -if any, in the future. Hopefully the car takes care of me, as well as I take care of it. I guess you could keep topping off the oil and changing the filter every few thousand miles before going in for the recommended 15K interval. Also, read this stickied thread: http://www.dtmpower.net/forum/showthread.php?t=136396
