Quaife differential for 330i?

I'm thinking of putting a Quaife differential in my 330i with automatic. Has anyone done this (in a 330i stick or automatic)? Did it improve the performance of your car? If you track your car, did it have a noticeable effect on your lap times?

I don't have a E46 330i... but i do have it in my 325 ... it has never been used in a road race track... but i did run it on the 1/4 mile strip..and that mod alone had shaved off a good .3 off of the e.t.
