19 inch rims

Is anyone running staggered 19 inch rims on their e46 bmw's. is it possible to run 8.5 front and 9.5 rear without rubbing? will 275/30/19 work for the rear?

thanks

I think if u run 9.5inches in the back with 19s it could run if u dont get the wheel wells enlarged. Did u drop ur car at all?

I have 19.5's in the rear with 275/30's and I have pretty bad rubbing! I've been trying to post on here for the longest and couldn't! Would 265/30's make a difference? The tire company said something about putting 245/30's in the rear but I'm not too sure on how that would look and the ride quality!

Well if that's the case, I'll sell my current rims and if I could get a hook up with ACS through you, I'll do it! You have to help out your neighboring countrymen! I'm a Greek But with my rims which are Foose Speedster 5's, the 275/30 have terrible rubbing so I believe I'm switching to 265/30's since that is what most people I have seen are running!

Sorry but I don't know it! You can kind of consider me a newbie with BMW's! I know when I was into the whole Japanese cars people were solving that problem by getting Camber Kits, but I'm not sure if they make them for BMW's!

I have Bridgestone SO3s mounted 9.5" rims front with 275X30 and 10" rims rear with 285X30. No rubbing. No alignment issues. I got 22K miles on my first set of SO3s. The wheels are Dinan and the car has been lowered somewhat with Dinan's suspension mods. Dinan has definitely got it figured out, but you do have to pay the price.

WHOA! That will work on an M3 and that sounds incredible tempting for my next set but I know at my level of height I would rub. I think he was asking about a coup in which case if you put your setup on it they would totally rub...either way I think his question is covered!

Your right, he's covered. It wasn't clear to me what model he was talking about. The question was about an E-46, but his sig says he drives a '95 M3.

How far did you lower your car? As I recall the Dinan suspension lowers the front by about .5" and the rear by about .75" or is it the other way around, I don't know anymore. With my car the Dinan springs, Koni shocks, front sway bar, camber plates and front and rear shock tower braces along with the very fat tires make it seem like it would tip over before it would break loose. Everyone will be quick to tell you that this set up isn't as good as others for the track, but it works for me on the road. Haven't been able light up the DSC indicator since installation.

Yep, my thinking exactly! see bold

All I did was lower my car with the Tein S sport springs (which I am going to change at some point) and OEM shocks...car is tight but a little bouncy for my liking. It dropped my car 1.5 up front and 1.0 in the back...I think because your tires are so "FAT" and the slight drop and other modifications that your ride is quite tight which is good. I suspect that your car is a lot of fun to drive! Future for me is the PSS or PSS9, braces front and back, and sways...modding never ends!

"Quite tight"? ....It rides like a freakin' fork lift, but as long as you're on the list at your local hospital for a kidney transplant no worries. It's great fun.

To totally fill this money pit I'll be adding Dinan's S/C as soon as he makes it available plus a lightened flywheel if offered for the SMG tranny. Full Pimp Job!
