Emissions isn't really that bad here. As long as your cat(s) work - you will pass.
Go to valvoline or somewhere like that where they do not do repairs.
It alot eaiser to pass. Resonators will have no effect on emmisions like said before.

If your exhaust is to loud in NY they might not pass you, so check with the standards on the sound levels. I know what is like to live there its chaos with there restrictions, but they are better than NJ.

Volume wise, I doubt a BMW would ever have a problem unless the cat was missing or headers changed.
My last car was very loud, 3" exhaust and I never had a problem

hehe ill be honest here i was asking about my benz (04 clk320 coupe) im sure thats not gonna be that loud at all if i take out the resonators, just want something a bit throatier without the emissions or my service dealer being suspicious of anything

your service dealer will know in 2 seconds if you take the resonator out
