Another DSC Question.

I have an 2000 323Ci and I tried holding the DSC to completely disengage it. I held it for about 45 Seconds and the brake light never came on, but then I could'nt re-engage the DSC. I had to restart my car for it to become active again. Whats up with that? Does my car have a different system or something because I tried it on a loaner car from the Dealership one day just to see how it worked and it did fine but it was an 04 325is? Any Help?

you most likely have ASC not DSC.

MY 2003 325xi did the same thing- and I have DSC

I have an 00 323i, my dsc does not completely disengage, I think that is how our cars are.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone but I'm still curious what the deal is. But it is clearly marked DSC.

mine is marked ASC. maybe the 2000 323i's came with DSC but it couldn't be fully disengaged?

I have an 00 323i as well, but I'm able to disengage DSC with just one-touch. At least I don't think it's on anymore cause I didn't feel anything while doing donuts.
