Anyone installed Ipod using the adapter from BMW.If so what can you control from the factory audio switches(steering/stereo).Is it worth it and also does the adapter also allows for charging the Ipod.Thanks

the bmw way of connecting the ipod, you can use everything, steering wheel controls and the front interface...
the downside to this is that you cant see the name of the song/artist.. it just says track 1, track 2, etc...
as far as charge, i think it does, but dont quote me on that..
i personally think there are better solutions to connecting the ipod... hardwire, or alpine's solution.. you could do fm transmitter but you'd be sacrificing some sound quality...

I'd recommend Icelink+ by Denison. It does all plus show the song title on the radio's display (also has options for nav system), etc. I have mine on order. Check it out:

I don't know about IPOD but your ride looks nice! Are those 19s on a lowered suspension? What tire setup are you using, and does it rub the fenders?

whatever you do don't buy the Belkin wireless transmitter, it sounds like shit even when its 1 inch away from the radio

Yes they are 19x8.5 offset 43mm,h&r race cupkit and they do not rub what so ever,even with 4 passengers around a radius offramp.Rides awesome too.Thanks.

Sorry missed the Tire detail.Yes its 235/35/19 all around.Makes rotating practical and I have minimum understeer,which I like for handling.

Thanks ,I checked the website and I am still not sure if its going to show song name or title.It seems like if your cd changer only shows track # then thats what the Ipod will show.Have you seen it work on someones car.I just have the Harmon/kardon business cd player.Alvin
