328CI OEM HID Problem

My friends 00' 328CI has developed a problem with the factory HID system. While driving or parked the lights will shut off and immediately turn back on. When this occurs there is a "click" from under the glove box area. Has anyone had this problem before? Also is there a relay that runs the ballast located on that side of the car? Thanks for the help.

I think he found the problem. There was a nest created under the hood by some mice. I believe they must have chewed some wires and it intermittently shorts out and then resets. Does anyone know where I can find a wire diagram for just the under hood portion of the HID circuit?
