330 interior

I have recentley purchased a 2004 330xi with black leather interior, I also just bought a 2003 330i with grey leather interior. I am going to keep the 330i and sell the 330xi. The thing is that I dont like the grey interior, I like the black alot more. I am thinking about switching the interior in both cars. Has anyone ever done this before? Any help would be much appreciated

its a straight swap. many parts the bentley manual would help just start ripping things off...

I've done this before, but not on BMWs, I did it on an MR2, so that was significantly easier. Watch for the bitch clips and dont break any trim peices! Interior parts are not cheap.

Don't do it. The E46 is not as (*cough*) simple ( ) as the E36. Even then, each time you take out interior peices it makes them that much more fragile. I've learned you only want to take interior peicies out only when you absolutely have to. Plus the Bently manuals aren't too great with instructions on interior imo.

If anything take it to a trained BMW person that knows exactly how each peice comes out, and has done many of them. This way you'll prevent any unnecessary bending of parts (which makes them fragile).
