My dad's temporary M3 replacement (Mini)

So you all know about my fathers M3 and that it will be in the shop untill sometime around Dec. 20th.

But if you had an M3 for 2 years, could you fathom driving a rental car for 2 months????? Not my father.........

He got her 2 days ago. I finaly was able to catch it when the sun was out, so I took a picture. It is an 03', and in mint condition with 13k miles. The interior is unbelievable. For a 24 thousand dollar car (got it for 20), it is extremely sophisticated. Plus the sterio is ten times better than the M3's (not coupe).

However, we all know it is no M3 by any means. But damn this thing is fun as hell to drive. I've gotten to drive them "around" for a "test drive".... but now I got to see what it was all about.

I took it to this one service road with a bunch of 45 degree turns (the 15mph zones ) and no one was around. This thing sticks to the road like you wouldn't believe, and as far as my dad is concerned, this will be a worthy car to drive.

He's had so much fun driving it! Even when the M3 gets back, he's gona keep it.......

and I'm going to modify it

Nice, I love the Minis. Whats going to happen to it when the M comes back? Sale it or make it an everyday driver?

Well its been taken to Premier Body shop in Pampano Beach. The place is extremely high tech. They asked if he wanted to come into today to check out the car. The engine, transmission and most other extraneous items were taken out. They putting it on a machine to check the frame. My guess is it probably a computer controlled laser machine.

The car, as far as they say will be in better than the condition it was in before.

However, if it so happens that the car comes out a little differen't, or drives a little funny (which he'll be able to tell) then he'll sell it.

I wasn't arrested on the spot, but I was issued a summons. There are two trials, the DMV trial on December 9th, and the criminal trial (if there will be one) we don't know.

The answer to your question is Yes. Yes, of course. I don't doubt that your father likes his car very much but if your dad is like mine was, he's loved you for over eighteen years.

Let's see... "For two months I surrender my M3 for a rental mini-BTW, pretty cool AND my son escapes from a dangerous accident without a scratch... and hopefully uses this experience to improve upon.. " A picnic.

He let you drive it, even after your previous incident?

Yes. My parents love me, and they know that I have my head on straight. That accident was an unfortunate event, and my father believes that it's not something I'd ever normaly do. It's hard for you all to understand the circumstances, because over a forum, that accident makes me sound like a total jack-ass. However, other than that night, I am one of the safest drivers in the Miami area. I always use my turn signal, always courteous, always watching for possible accident-prone scenario's that might happen to prevent them, etc etc. and my father also knows this.

Plus, I eat, sleep and breath cars. Cars are my every thought. I absolutely love driving them, and to go without them would be my worst nightmare. My dad is almost the same way; he's a car nut. If I was just some kid using his car to impress the ladies, that'd be one thing, but he knows I appreciate cars by driving them and not by using them for "baller status". Most people my age, or people in general don't know how (or what it is) to appreciate the handling and performance of a car, but that is what I enjoy every time I get in a BMW or Mini Cooper S, just as him.

Sorry for that ultra dramatic spiel.
