auto to manual conversion

kindof. i ripped my automatic shiftknob off and i am putting a manual one on there, im also going to take the trim parts, the auto shift boot for the transmission and put a manual boot on it. so it in turn will look like it's a manual but will be an auto.

it might seem kind of ricey but hell i like it and it's my car.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY (SP) SHIFT KNOB

soon a nice momo knob or a BMW ///M knob

nice, but on auto shifters, isn't there a lock that you have to engage to go from park to like reverse or drive??

ewwwwww is that a pep boys knob? i would rather drive it with no knob then that knob. and with the shifter thing it just sounds like your are having a hard time dealing with the fact u drive an automatic (LOL) BMW but atleast its triptronic (LOL) hope u find a better looking shifter AA makes a beautiful 1

Well to bring this back from the dead, I got a manual boot and a woodgrain OEM 5 speed knob to match. I've got a leather shift knob on the way which I will make lighted so it looks like an M shifter.

I'll get some pics though.

My shifter is going to look somthing like that soon. Except I am going to be doing a Auto-Manual transfer if I can find the right tranny. Maybe 6spd ZHP tranny. Nice mod tho, its looks better than the OEM Steptronic shifter.
