How come my E46 xenons don't look as blue

as i've seen other newer bimmers with xenons that looks more blue. mine just outputs the pure white from every angle i look at and not even a tint of blue. is it cuz of the bulbs or the projectors? maybe i should clean the projectors or get new bulbs? anyone have any idea?

the projectors. merc benz & bmw use different projectors that simulate the xenons even more blue

why would you want blue? wouldn't you want pure white?

You can change the bulbs to a 6k or 8k bulb, the bulbs generally cost around 250 ~ 300 a pair, go to http://www.hidexpress.com/ and look at the colors and prices. The OEM Xenons will look blue-ish or purple-ish from certain angles , but when you look directly into the beam they are pure white, and keep in mind also that when you turn on the Xenon lamps they will look bluish but once warmed up they will be pure white.

The lower the K, the brighter the xenon. 8000K Xenon looks cool, but doesn't light up the roads as much.
