Little things to keep the car running well?

Are there any little things to keep the car running well that no one usually thinks of?

Like with my old car, if you took the O2 sensor out and cleaned it with a Q-tip you could keep the car running well because it wouldn't have gunk all over it. Are there any little things like that with these cars?

Just routine maintenance will allow you to enjoy your BMW well over 200K miles.

Regular oil changes (I wouldn't go by BMW's recommended 15K interval - I usually do it every 5000).

if you drive hard, i'd even get an oil change done every 3500 miles

Yeah. And you can change the oil on your own too. That's something I should look into.
