| Ok, I got on '04 325xi with only 1,000 miles on it. And I think my transmision is going bad already! I have an automatic, and when I shift into drive it dosent shift, it just sits as if in neutral. It does this everytime on a cold start and sometimes even if the car is still warm! I just turned it into the dealer today and hopefully I will get a call tomorow on what they have to say. Any of you know if this is normal, whats wrong, or if you've ever heard of this happening before? Thanks -Carnifex |

| Kinda normal. BMW knows about this, and your dealer will most likely ask you if you can live with it for a while, because new pars arn't readily available. It does need a new trans, unless they find a differnt way to fix it. You can make it not happen if you put it in Manual 1 with the shifter. Then you can drive normally. Dealer will most likely tell you something similar. Good luck.
