Why does everyone care about 0-60 times, it's the most useless stat there is. S4 is nice but it wears out quickly.

Are you arguing why from 0 to exactly 60MPH times are mportant or why acceleration is?

0-60 time just gives you a good idea of if its quick or not. s4 is VERY nice but your right, ones i have found, that i can afford have like 48 - 62k miles. thats a shitload for a TT engine. and thanks ximiam.

Why 0 to exactly 60, not acceleration. Acceleration is important, but when the **** do you go from 0-60 MPH, besides the track?

OK, that first page didn't help much but its pretty accurate with its stats.

2000 323i auto - 7.1 sec
2000 328ci manual - 6.8 sec

The 325 would be around the same as 323 since its the same engine, but weights a little more probably.

Stop like going onto an exit onto a highway

Also some cornering stats would be useful there.

There are some other benchmarks like 0-62 which is 0-100kph and then 0-30 and others. Usually the lower ones like 0-30 show less of a difference in times and higher ones like 0-100mph aren't useful for *some* cars since it would take a while for them to reach that speed, like many domestic cars for instance.

0-60 is a good in-between point to show difference in acceleration, so unless you have a better way to represent it, don't question the way its been done for many years.

Of course the 0-60 times matter. Why wouldn't they? What heppens when a little 1.8 liter, 200hp Type R wants to race a 330ci with 225hp and a 3.0 liter engine. Hmm the engine and hp says that the 330 will win, however the 0-60 stats say different. I hate to bring an Acura into this.

My 330Ci lost to my friends Type-R by 1/2 a car length. But it was during the first week I had driven the car and I couldn't drive a manual very well. I'll run him again soon to see if the outcome changes.

I know some fast 4s that are not blown or bottled that will wax my car.
