Xenon low-beams were an option from the onset of the E46 in 1999.

Xenon is still an option on all 3-series.

Hey TDC.....

The car i'm going to buy doesn't come with Xenon...it has the standard lights....do u know how much it would cost to get the projectors and bi-xenon in there? or should i try to search for one that came with the Xenon....

Good luck getting a transplant to do the projectors (tought to find)....and,, good luck again finding Xenon for sale, since most to all major companies don't carry it anymore. Some good hard research will yield good results...

But if Xenon matters that much, and you have the time, find a 3er that has it standard.

All you need to do is retrofit the OEM Xenons into the car. Then you just have to recode the vehicle to recognize them so you won't have idiot lights on in your dash.

Any BMW dealer will be able to get them for you. But Circle BMW and Pacific BMW have the best prices for any OEM BMW part.

I did not find anything like that within those sites....

So it is not necessary to buy a whole new lighting assembly? which costs upward of 1800 per side....there has to be a way to do this cheap...and i agree, Xenon does make a whole lot of difference

Their websites are counter-intuitive. You're better off calling them. They provide 800 numbers so no cost to you.

If you want to convert non-xenon to xenon (and keep it OEM), you need to buy brand new headlight assemblies - no ifs, ands, or buts. I believe Bekkers also sells the kit for under $1000. I know that's how Alan got Xenons on his 323i.

Dang, they raised the prices like $400!! I remember Alan getting his for well under $1000...perhaps around $800-850 including shipping.

Oh, and if you're going this route, you might as well get the Bi-Xenon headlights.

The car I'm going to get, this thursday...a 2001 Topaz Blue....doesn't come with any damn options...but it's the cheapest 330Ci i can find around her...23k miles, they're asking 26,900...small dealer so i can talk it down to 24, perhaps 23k....yeah so i'll just have to fork out the extra cash for Xenons then....would it look funny if i just get an HID kit off of ebay and put it inside a Non-projector style headlight? are the bulb sizes for the Xenon light the same as non xenon lights?

Please stop right there. I do not condone the ghettofication of BMWs.

If you continue to do so, I will be forced to place you on the DO NOT ASSIST list.

I'm being funny but I'm not joking either.

Xenon is just low-beam. Bi-Xenon is both low and high beam, hence the "Bi" part. It didn't mean it goes both ways.
