03 tails?

Are all 03 M3 tailights LED? I'm looking at a Bluewater/black 03 M3 but it has the non-LED tails? It thought all 03's had LEDS?

Only M3's built as of March 2003 will have the LEDs. There are a bunch of 03 M3's without them since they built 2003 M3s since 09/02 production.

The 2004 m3's will have the led tail lights. My 04 has the led's and I aksed bmw when the m3's will have them, they told me 2004 models will.

i've seen a retrofit, can be done for less tha 500, need lights and some interior trim pieces thats all and a reprogram to take taillight failure light out of dash, looks SIK!

2003 M3s as of 03/03 production have LED taillights. Obviously the 2004 models will have them as well.

Just another example of a dealer not knowing what the hell they're talking about.

And yes, you can retrofit the LEDs onto any coupe. RichP did it on his car but is too damn lazy to get his LSZ recoded so he still has the light on his dash.

TDC, does putting 19" rims on instead of the stock 17" rims raise the hight of the car? I have H&R race springs, I'm told that it will rub the fenders.

Rubbing occurs due to incorrect tire sizing and rim offsets.

Tough to answer if you will rub or not with the information you gave. To be able to answer better, you'd have to provide the rim dimensions (diameter and width), the rim offset, and the tire sizes you are using.

There are many people running 19" wheels dropped on coilovers that do not rub. There are also many people with 19" wheels on coilovers that required some fender rolling in the rear. And then there are people that needed to do custom body work to their fenders in order to fit the wheels they wanted.

Too many variables to give just one answer.

Yeah, I understand, thanks. Those must be 18's or 19's on your car aren't they? If I put larger rims will the car be higher off the ground then before?
