what is the OEM M5 or M3 lip spoiler made from?

I know this is probably gonna get some bad reactions, but i want to put it on my prelude, because i hate big wings. I've seen somebody put it on an A4. How flexible is it? my trunk is slightly curved but not to the degree of an E46 or E39...at least I don't think it is. I guess if it doesn't work out i can put it on my mom's 528i

Prelude isnt a bad car, at least you have taste (IMO anyway), so if your going to put a OEM lip spoiler on it, take some pics on how you did it!

at least your not putting Beamer emblems on it... I know someone who did that to his Civic, "BMW Si, I swear!"

thanks for the info. There are some M5/M3 lip spoilers on ebay for like $89 that the seller claims are urethane. Those aren't OEM are they? Anybody know about the quality of those?

Th dealer will sell them for around 130....and no the ones off ebay are not OEM. I would go with the OEM from the dealer...ABS is alot more forgiving under flex if you plan on bending it a little.

would you guys recommend the E46 or E39 lip? I read in another post that the E46 lip is slightly more curved than the E39 to fit the rounder contour of the E46 trunk. Also, would any of you guys happen to have the width of these lips? I just wanna make sure the fitment is right. I can sand the edges off if necessary but if i'd rather it be too wide than too narrow (which i doubt it'll be, but it's good to be sure)

If I were you, I would just go for the stock spoiler for a Prelude. IMO, the M3 and M5 lip isn't even a spoiler. I mean, look how small the damn thing is, probably doesn't provide any function whatsoever. Stick with the stock spoiler.

It provides LOTS of "function", ebdy
The E39 M5 Lip is somewhat larger than the E46 M3 Lip, so I suggect you go with that.

You can barely see the thing. Go with the stock spoiler. I wonder what the low LTW wing would look on a Prelude. Do you think it would fit? I think it would look pretty good, but I would have to see it in real life to give my opinion on it.

I have a stock wing sitting in my living room right now. After some careful thought, i decided that i don't like the way it looks, and i really don't want my car to look like every other prelude out there. I also don't want some flashy crap that's going to detract from the looks of my car, i want something subtle and sleek looking and this lip is exactly what i was searching for. What is the LTY wing?

Here's the low LTW wing:

I wonder if it would fit. I doubt it would, but it doesn't hurt to try and make it fit.

umm, i honestly think that wing belongs on bimmers and nothing else. It's too large, that thing would never touch my car...it'd look sweet on an M3 though. As for the mugen wing. I toyed with the idea for a while, but first of all I don't feel like spending $700 on that thing especially since it's just a piece of fiberglass that clips to the trunk, and second it doesn't look nice unless you have the complete mugen kit, which I never intend to buy. I think i'll stick with the M5 wing. Thanks for all your input
