i was thinking the same thing as my fellow Kevin. The only way this story would make sense is if the car is stolen and they were just trying to pin the stolen goods off on someone for a little spot of cash. i dont think anyone would be dumb enough to take the $80,000 hit on a car they could easily make there money back on.
