95 M3 vs. 2001 Mustang GT...............

This has been reviewed so many times. But here goes another one. I was coming back from my friend's house about 20 minutes ago. There are 2 straight aways before you get to my community. The first straight away, I get on it pretty nice, taking it to redline and shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I slow down, next thing I see is this car behind me fishtailing or something and it's coming on hard. I didn't bother and vrummmmm it speeds past me. So I'm like whatever who cares. Then before I make a right for the 2nd straight away, I see this car is pretty much going about 15mph. So I get up to him, Mustang GT, with some kind of exhaust because they don't sound like this stock. He takes the turn literally at 5 mph. Then when it straightens up he guns it a little, lets off and now is when he asked for it. He puts on his gay fu**ing hazard on me. So I gun it in 2nd gear and get next to him. He keeps hitting it and letting off showing that torque he has over me. So we're going about 25mph and I go WOT. Almost immediately he does the same, he jumps and a 1/4 car length on me from the start. We're pretty steady until 60mph. Then I just pull away from him. I had him by 2 car lengths. So I let off and of course, he does his stupid rev at me and goes away. Not expecting the race, but it had my adrenaline going for a bit. I haven't raced a Mustang GT before, but now I keep telling myself it's an american muscle car, has the torque in 1st and 2nd, after that, it's like dragging a trailer.

I'm bone stock by the way, I'm pretty sure he had exhaust.

I had the same hesitation about my car when I first got it. That same DAY a new mustang pulled up on me at a light and started revving and I really didn't feel like doing anything 'cause I just got the friggin car. Anyhow, turns out the guy couldn't drive his car for shit and I completely ripped his ass. He missed second gear all together and I could hear his tranny taking a shit grinding up while his engine was roaring. The race ended on an on-ramp to the local highway where it was flat out no competition as far as handling goes. Those cars obviously were not meant for that though. The guy kept chasing me on the highway but I took him up to 140mph (real late at night, I saw maybe 3 cars on the higway total), and he just could NOT pull on me. I really don't know how the cars match up as far as power and gearing on paper, but it seemed to me that if that mustang had been geared differently he may have been more competition...
Those V8s pull like a muthafukka

Ummmm....taking a car up to 140 the 1st day you get is something I would never do, its called the break-in procedure.

Nice kill! I rmember that I raced my friend's mildly modded 88 GT in our bone stock 87 325i from a light. I beat him off the line and stayed a car length ahead until we had to slow back down. Hahaha, and he has raced and destoyed a brand new modded GT too. People can't drive stick for sh*t where I live.

Ehhh...

Yeah, I guess I should have mentioned that I got my car last November...with 55K miles. And for those that are REALLY anal...I had just changed the oil in my baby. I'm not into abusing my car...just having a lil fun.

Now for those who think we're talking shit.. I am assuming that everyone here is talking about basically STOCK Mustangs..GTs that is. A Mustang with the slightest of mods will take even an M3 (E36) in a straight line. All they need is a little under-drive pulley (i think) and H-pipe something or other and they are GONE!! So watch out for those bad-boys.

PS: OHH yeah...and I forgot a GOOD DRIVER too! Around here there are a lot of good drivers but there are TONS of BAD drivers ..and they all drive the nicest cars too. What a shame.
