| M3 Coolant Light Problems Damn coolant light on the check panel keeps going on at random times. Usually if it does go on it will after the car runs for about 30 seconds. I have plenty of coolant. I just replaced that hose between the valve cover and the intake plenum that gets bad, and I replaced the fan clutch. Everything else seems to be in good shape, I don't lose any coolant from the reservior tank, is it the sensor? That's the only thing left I can think of. Anyone have any ideas? ![]() |

| if the light's on, and there's coolant in the tank it can only be one thing. change the sensor: $18.11 at the partsbin.com http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com...ensor&usemake= |

| ALSO When youve been particularly throwing ther car around, the water dips below the sensor level and goes on because of the G forces, but when you turn the car off, and re-start it, it dissappears. Dont worry about it,m its a faulty sensor. At worst, your sensor could be playing as cruel trick to you and dissappearing and reappearing when you check it just to f*ck with you. jk

| Thanks I'll replace the sensor I guess, that is what I thought it would be, figurd I should check with some other people too though. Oh, and the light only goes on when I start the car, will stay on until I turn the car off, sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. So damn annoying I want to rip that check light out of there Dave |
