Noob Vanos

I'm looking into buying a new engine for my 318i. I've located 5 spd one from a 93 325i. I'm phyced to put this engine on a mount and work on it 10 hours a day! but I dont know enough about this vanos stuff. some say this model has vanos other say its not a vanos engine.

Also I want to buy and install after market sport cams will this screw with the vanos. prolly yes so is there any way to remove the vanos or just disable it?!???!

I cant it fell througth, the guy thinks hes gona sell the whole car for 1500. 300k on the motor and screws holding the trim on the inside and all. Anyone from eastern ontario canada got a 6 or 8 cyl bimmer engine to sell me? lol
