| squeaking door is bugging the hell outta me! Hey guys my car has been up and running for a few days now...I'm taking it slow, trying to make sure that My welds don't fail and I fly off the road in a huge ball of fire. Anyways...I thought that my rtabs were speaking or the the metal had torn and was squeaking again but today I found out that its actually coming from the door latch. Not the hinges, but where the lock and latch connect to the body of the car. Should i just throw some white lithium grease into that...or is there something else I should use? I tried searching but every one of the threads I found were on squeaking hinges Thanks guys...its good to be back!

| nah I have a squeeze tube of the stuff...I gave it a liberal coating but it didn't seem to help. Where else could the squeaking be coming from! I can hear the sound coming from right around the latch area, but grease hasn't helped. I also thought it could be the rubber door seal but I put some rubber care product on it and that didn't help either! anyone else encounter a problem like this?

| nope, I drove with the door open for about an 1/8th of a mile on a fairly bumpy road and not one squeak. Even if the door is closed halfway, latched but not closed entirely, there is no squeaking. Only when the door is firmly shut and I go over bumps does the squeaking come up.
