| honestly.... estoril blue looks like estoril blue. it's not as dark as avus, but i would not describe it as faded.

| it needs both its needs some body work because there is a large dent on the right front fender but i might just replace the whole fender and i it could use a nice polish i feel liek if i do that the paint will stand out much more. |

| i joined this forum because i am looking for one too, my family lives in germany so when i go there for leave im thinking about doing some searching for a euro spec if i cant find one here (not likely!) |

| I'm not sure i've ever seen Ben so patient. ![]() If you can get a Eurospec car and import it so it's road legal here, the decision is a no-brainer.

| it doesnt make a difference if your a soldier, there are safty standards that the car has to meet, all the seat belts, air bags, glass, lights, reinforcements on all the body pannels and the frame itself has to meet all US spec safty standards, then the engine has to meet emission standards...the short of it is impossible unless you want to shell out the cash to make it US spec, which defietes the point...unless you import the engine seperatly then theres nothing to talk about... here are some websights that will help you with any further questions http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/ http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...da01192007.htm http://www.epa.gov/otaq/imports/ I spoke to a R.I. the bottom line is unless you have $20K to shell out to get it up to spec dont bother...HOWEVER IF the car is over 25 years of age then its considered a classic and does not need to meet any of these specs and you can import it easily. |

| i was looking at euro spec motors, being a soldier i definitely do not have that 20k to shell out. im sure there is a thread on swapping a euro spec motor into a us spec e36, anyone have the link? |
