| Introduction and Help Request Hi Guys. Just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. Live in Atlanta and own a 95 M3L in Boston Green (only upgrade is Dinan chip) and an 08 X3. So here's my question, I noticed that several people on this forum have 18" M Parallel replicas installed on their E36s. I bought a set with new 225/40/18s and installed them. They scraped on the front brakes to start with (which i hadn't seen anyone talk about in any of the threads I'd read) and so i installed a set of Rogue 10mm spacers (smallest Rogue makes) and just in case things need to be balanced I put them on front and back. However, I'm still not able to get them to work correctly. The wheels rub on the back wheel wells. I know several people have these and I was wondering what have you/they done to get the wheels to work correctly? Is it my tires, the spacers (not likely because it rubbed before spacers), my suspension (stock), other? Thanks in advance for the help and look forward to interacting. Already feel like I know some of you from reading some of the posts. Cheers Ian |

| Hey and welcome to DTM. replica wheels often walk a fine line.. are you sure that these are for E36 fitment? there are M parr reps for E36s and then there are some for other cars. if they are not the correct offet for an E36 you'll have some problems. you should not need to run spacers. do you have pics/specs for the wheels?

| Hey guys. Thanks for the replies and the welcome . OK so in terms of the offset issue, correct me if I'm missing something here, but shouldn't they, in fact, have the wrong offset? M Parallels are 35mm and the original M Contours were 41mm. Inherently, there wouldn't be any M Parallels that are made for e36 because of that. However, i bought them from Lakeshorewheelandtire and they designated them as a fit for the e36 M3. Having said that, I'm really concerned by the idea that I shouldn't need to use spacers. (i don't see a way they could get around the front brake problem unless they had the brakes calipers filed) As I mentioned previously, I know there are several individuals on this forum who have put replica M Parallels on their e36s and if they didn't have to use spacers then Yikes I'm in a world of hurt. Any additional thoughts about avenues to investigate/pursue? Do you guys know specifically any of the individuals that have the M Parallel replicas on their e36s? I really appreciate the help. Great car pictures by the way, are those your cars? Cheers Ian

| does your car have stock brakes? i would be concerned that any wheel designed for the E36 would hit the brakes while being installed on the e36. if the wheels are +41, and you put a 10mm spacer on them that changes the offset.. and you get the point i'm sure. i would speak to the seller/manufacturer. i would not install them on the car.
