Got totally screwed by a BFC member in the classified

as the title states, i purchased some suspension components from a BFc member.. we spoke on the phone, he was totally cool.

the stuff arrived and WOW.

Rogue mounts missing the reinforcements and all hardware, one has a sawzall mark.

Bilsteins have tears in the boots, one rear missing a bushing sleeve.

nothing is in the described condition.

the guy's phone just rings and rings, his VM box is full, he wont respond to texts, PMs or emails.

i'm fuct.

i have never been taken advantage of by any private seller like this.. is it really matt from umnitza in disguise?

the specifics of my tactics to get my money back will be withheld along with his name and phone number. i am hoping that he surfaces, but as time goes by it's unlikely. i like to believe in the good of people, specifically enthusiasts.. but this is making it pretty difficult to do so.

Wow, that sucks man. Thats one of the reasons I stay away from deals like that... you have no clue what your buying and, since bf.c is such a huge forum, not everyone is an enthusiast. Habbie and Matt - case in point.

yeh.. i do have to say after numerous experiences as buyer and seller.. this one was the only bad one.

it was an expensive bad one.

it's not like the stuff is junk.. well the rogues are, it's the fact of being mislead, and not even having the balls for him to say "yes, i totally screwed you."

Man, that really sucks.

I'm sorry to hear you got taken advantage of like that...especially from an alleged enthusiast. Hopefully, you've had many more positive experiences to still have some faith in the good of humanity, or at least e36'ers!

Yeah I know a lot of good commerce happens on that site, and I think it's a great way to do business, but it definitely isn't risk-free. I have to say I'm really tempted by the TMS swaybar set up on bf.c, but I know I should save that money and just hold out for performance mods till next year. It was this or being able to see my gf every other weekend during the school year.

Someone else should pick that up though, sounds like a great deal. comes with adj. endlinks.
