Roof rain rail install: OG advice needed. Hey guys, so I've been kind of revamping a few things on my car lately, and it's been totally smooth sailing... Except for the metal rain rails that line the top of the windows on the coupes. I tried pushing that thing on with my fingers until they were literally blistering, and ended up linking the damn thing anyway (a replacement is on order)... It's kicking my ass. Is this supposed to be that hard? I'd appreciate any advice you guys could give me, or maybe someone who wants to come over and give me a hand in exchange for some beer and good music. ![]()

did you start on the correct end? You need to start at the end closest to the front of the car.....then slowly using your palms push the drip rail onto the car. remember to go slow, to not mess anything up as these are very easily bent.

I assumed installation was reverse of removal, is this incorrect? My memory of Brett's DIY said to remove it from the front rearwards, which worked beautifully. I started the install at the back of the car, with the tip nicely seated in the new rear window seal. Is this not the right way to install it? Should I be doing the reverse?

I was gonna say, I'm pretty sure you want to start removal at the A pillar and move backward according to Brett's now-deleted DIY. I'm looking for people who have personally done this before. Anyone else have some practical experience with this?
