Lighting Problems

Alright so I installed my clears on my 96 m3 finally. I have done this mod numerous times and never had a problem until now....

Basically all the lights are functional, the bulbs are brand new, and the connections are good. However on this one the wiring that connects up to the tails has some problems. The connections are good but the drivers side harness has 8 pins and 7 pin slots while the passenger side has 8 pins and 6 pin slots....

so now for the reason I am telling you all this, my OBC system says I have a taillight problem... so now you have it, what say you DTM?

Im stumped. Im definetly going to have to take a look at my own tail lights now.

see if the spare wires are live when the sidelights are turned on.....or if they are earths.....if they are just side light positive or earth it might be worth just splicing it into the existing sidelight positive or existing earth just so its connected for OBC reasons!!

The two different sides use different independent circuits. Two fuses to check.

A guy on the forum recently had a problem that was traced back to a faulty headlight switch.
