| proud owner new owner of a 99 M3 I just bought her. ![]() I have a couple of questions: 1. is going to the dealer the only way to reset the inspection light? I am a DIY'er and that just seems like a pain in the ass 2. what are some respectable performance shops I can get parts from? I have found a couple but they all seem a little shady. |

| There is even more of a DIY on the inspection reset... short pins on the computer port or something... I'll go look it up. Edit: It's grounding pin 7 for a period of time... ~3 seconds for the oil light and ~9 seconds for the service interval... e36_reset_service_lights
